Training Choir Accompanist

After graduating as a first-study pianist from the University of Huddersfield in 1997, Gill went on to complete her PGCE at the University of Leeds and has since built a diverse career in music education and performance. She joined Cantamus as an accompanist in February 2024.

Gill is a full time piano teacher and accompanist at Nottingham Girls High School and has extensive experience accompanying soloists and ensembles across a wide range of contexts. As a freelance pianist and accompanist, she also works regularly with Nottingham Hospitals Choir, Music Makers and Nottingham Young Musician.

In 2022 she completed a Masters in Education (distinction) at the Royal College of Music. She has presented research at the RiME conference, served as a peer reviewer for Music Education Research and SEMPRE 2025, and is a mentor for teachers working towards their Certificate for Music Educators qualification with MEO.
